I am very uncomfortable typing this because I may upset people, but I must speak the truth.

I have struggled for a long time to find my voice; my uniqueness in the kingdom of God. The more I discover who I am called to be, it’s the more afraid I become. However, “For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, love and a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7) So, even when we are afraid, we have to do what God wants us to do.

As I look at the current atmosphere the world is in. I begin to see how divided the church has become. Rather than bond together as believers, and pray for a land in turmoil. Many of us are too busy picking sides and causing our own personal feelings to distort our perspective. For one, we all bleed the same blood and feel similar emotions, and God made all of us. Yet we are focused on skin color and engaging in conversation that further divide. The very truth of God’s word has escaped our perspective. We don’t judge based on God’s truth, we judge based on how we feel and see things. Yes, we should speak against injustice, but should we stand for movements that hate all things God?

Many in the church today are moving closer to the world’s agenda.

Many unborn children are butchered every year, yet some of us believers stand with the people that wants this to be a law. The bible clearly speaks against homosexuality, yet we stand with people who fight for this. When will we, the Church of the living God begin to stand up for what we say we believe in, without compromise?

We must do better to represent the God, we serve. We should follow the infallible written word of God which is, the Basic instructions before leaving earth (BIBLE). It’s time for us to care less about what the world thinks, and care more about what God says. We should make sure our lives and what we speak and do line up with God’s word.

We are at a critical time in history in our walk with Christ. We must choose what side we will stand on.

I love you my brothers and sisters, and it is time we all wake up to the last days we are living in. My heart is full, and I want to see the church be the beacon of light on top of a hill, calling sinners to repentance.

The word of God told us to “Come out from among them, and be ye separate, and touch not the unclean things; and I will receive you.” (2 Corinthians 6:17) Only our separation and holiness will demonstrate our difference from the world. It’s what will draw many to the light in us and to Jesus.

Let us all dare to be different; to stand out just like Jesus and his disciples. It’s the only way we can “let our light shine before men, that they will see our good works an glorify our Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)
